1. Growing older brings new realities I never thought about when I was in my 20's and 30's. For example: greater physical limitations, aches and pains, and can't eat like I used to. I hate this one.
2. Children and family are more important than ever before. Questions like, what is my impact in their life? and how can I help them see what is eternal and live it out?
3. Possessions have less meaning. I enjoy them, but are less important to attain.
4. A love for God has greater meaning as perspective deepens with age.
5. Listening to the thoughts and opinions of others is necessary for growth. I do not always want to, but it does help me to mature.
6. I still love learning. My Masters program keeps my mind constantly challenged.
7. I love my wife more everyday. It is a great phrase you hear in movies, but it is so true.
8. God has a plan that is more vast than I can comprehend, so I rest in his arms.
9. I still love watching God work in people's lives...seeing the changes he brings about inspires me.
10. I enjoy sabbath, quiet and rest more than ever.
