This past week I've been able to celebrate the birthdays of my oldest son and my wife. In the past few weeks I've celebrated the birthdays of friends and my son-in-law. In a few days, a good friend will bring their third child into the world. As I go through those moments I am reminded of the blessed event in celebrating a birthday.
That special day is unique because of the blessing to the world that person has been, is, and will be until death takes them home. As I think about my wife's birthday today, I am reminded of how she has blessed the lives of all those who have met her. My life is so much more full by having her in it. There is a joy, peace, and motivation she brings everyday. God blessed me with her.
She also is a blessing to many other people. Everyday she is seeing clients or talking on the phone to people who need her God given skill and expertise to probe and resolve issues of life. She is such a blessing.
Each person is brought into the world bearing the image of God and has the potential to bless the world, giving glory to God by their life. We have the opportunity everyday to bless others with the love of God, the joy of God, the peace of God, the purpose of God. So as you interact with others today, open your eyes and see more than the problems, challenges that person may bring...see them as a child of the King and treat them as such. Encourage them. Lift them up. Motivate them to reach their potential the King of Kings has placed in them.
So today...I am so glad God brought my Linda into the world. I cannot imagine my life without her. Praise be to God!
